WEIGH INS:

NOTE:  ALL WRESTLERS WILL GET A ONE (1) LB. ALLOWANCE AT FRIDAY WEIGH INS AND AN ADDITIONAL ONE (1) LB. ON SATURDAY

       Procedures:

1)  Wrestlers will weigh in by weight class starting at 103lbs.  If a team is late, the wrestlers who missed their initial weigh in with their weight class will weigh in after the 285lbs weight class is complete.

2)  There will be three (3) scales.

3) Wrestlers will have (3) chances to make weight,  one chance on each scale.  After each attempt of not making weight, the wrestler will be confined to the weigh in area until permitted to weigh in again.  All wrestlers will be monitored to prevent dehydration and breaking of the rules standards.

4)  NO activities will be permitted as to allow for dehydration.  There will be NO RUNNING, SPITTING OR LEAVING THE WEIGH IN AREA until the wrestler has completed the weigh in procedure (this includes skin and hair check).

5)  Please try to prepare wrestlers in advance to be on target for weight, clean shaven and nails trimmed.  The better prepared they are, the faster weigh ins will go and the tournament will get started on time.

SKIN/MEDICAL:

Any questionable skin/medical conditions must be accompanied by the OHSAA Skin Condition Evaluation & Authorization Form

The form must be signed and dated (not prior to December 10, 2008) and turned in at first weigh ins.  Wrestlers with skin conditions and not having the completed form will not be permitted to wrestle.  Any questionable conditions will be referred to the head tournament official and his word is final.  Hair and nails will be checked as well.

Wrestlers with braces with metal parts/protective padding as well as tape jogs need to bring them to the head tournament official for inspection and approval BEFORE wrestling begins.

SEEDING:

There will be no seeding meeting prior to the tournament.  Wrestlers will be placed on brackets based on the list of names submitted to  be considered for seed.  NOTE:  If a wrestler's name is submitted in a weight class and he does not make weight, he cannot move up to the next weight class and he will not wrestle.  If a seeded wrestler cannot compete (weight, illness, skin) the bracket may be redrawn.

Another wrestler from the same team will not be put in his position.  If a non-seeded wrestler cannot compete, a substitution from the same team (same weight) can be made or a bye will be put in that position.  ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Please refer to "SEEDING CRITERIA" under the Seeding Link to determine which wrestlers should be considered for seeding.

Eight (8) wrestlers will be seeded in each weight class.  The computer will place the remaining wrestlers randomly on the bracket.

Names of wrestlers to be considered for seed should be entered on-line by 5pm on MONDAY, DECEMBER 17th.  ALL changes must be made NO LATER THAN 6pm on Wednesday, December 17th.  Seeds will be posted on this website sometime after 9pm on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 17th.    If you have any dispute with seeds, please contact the tournament director at ewerstle@neo.rr.com prior to weigh-ins on Friday, December 19th Include all records - even losing records.
